Why We Are Not A PEO!

What is a PEO? The National Association of Professional Employer Organizations defines a Professional Employer Organization (PEO) as an organization that provides an integrated and cost-effective approach to the management and administration of employer risk as it pertains to human resources. This is achieved by contractually assuming substantial employer rights and responsibilities through the establishment and maintenance of an employer relationship with its client's workers.

We believe that PEOs can alienate employees from their company, because the employees don't actually work for you, they work for the PEO. This sometimes leads to employees being treated as commodities. PEO models take control out of the hands of company owners, setting up a hands-off management style that does little to encourage employee loyalty.

Carolina HR Partners functions as the opposite of a PEO, by working directly for you, and lending our expertise to help you grow your most important assets, your employees. As your HR partner, we're personally available to you and your employees.

If you are currently signed with a PEO, contact us today for a competitive analysis and discover the benefits of Carolina HR Partners over a PEO.

Downside of PEO's

PEO's may offer comprehensive services and bulk pricing, but what's the reality?

PEO's can actually present you with higher costs and less insurance coverage.

Your employees no longer work for you, they belong to the PEO.

Communication barriers with a distant PEO causes dissatisfaction with employees and possible oversights.

You may be subject to laws affecting larger employees as part of a PEO.
